Hannah Jackson has been passionate about helping students discover not only how to make music, but how to find confidence, creativity, and connection through it. As the founder of Songbird Music Studio, she believes that the best learning happens in an environment where people feel seen, encouraged, and inspired to grow at their own pace. Hannah has cultivated a welcoming culture that blends artistic excellence with a creative, joy-filled atmosphere where beginners and seasoned musicians alike can learn, collaborate, and belong. Her greatest passion is building a community where music becomes more than a skill; it becomes a shared experience that brings people together and helps each person find their unique voice.

Hannah Jackson is a singer-songwriter whose artistry reflects both the grit and grace of West Texas. Based in Lubbock, she has built a career defined by vocal excellence, emotional authenticity, and a deep respect for musical tradition, blending elements of Americana, country, soul, and classic pop into a sound that feels both

timeless and deeply personal.

Jackson’s connection to music began early. Raised in a traveling ministry, she grew up immersed in performance, stepping onto the stage almost as soon as she could speak. That upbringing fostered not only confidence and discipline, but also a natural instinct for storytelling through song. She later pursued formal vocal training, studying classical, Broadway, and contemporary styles, shaping the technical strength and versatility that have become

hallmarks of her voice.

National audiences were introduced to Jackson in 2011 when she appeared as a contestant on The X Factor USA. Simon Cowell said this of Jackson, "You are an example of goodness. Girls all over the internet are trying to sound like you." While the experience expanded her reach, she remained grounded in her artistic vision, choosing to build a career centered on meaningful performances and genuine connection rather than spectacle.

Jackson’s recorded work highlights her depth as both a vocalist and songwriter. Her discography includes the Naïve EP as well as her full-length album New Morning, collaborative projects with fellow Texas artists, and contributions to film soundtracks, including a featured vocal performance in a Hallmark holiday film. A career highlight includes performing an original song co-written with Jeff Cohen at the iconic Bluebird Cafe in Nashville, a milestone that reflects her standing as a respected

songwriter within the industry.

In addition to her solo work, Jackson continues to explore collaborative and familial projects, most notably the emerging mother-daughter duo LILLIANNAH, which celebrates harmony, heritage, and shared creative vision. She is currently in the studio working on new music, continuing to evolve her sound while staying true to the roots that define her artistry.

With a voice shaped by experience and a career guided by intention, Hannah Jackson represents the enduring spirit of West Texas music. Her work honors where she comes from while continuing to grow forward, offering audiences songs that are honest, resonant, and unmistakably her own.

Makenzie Patton

Voice/Guitar Instructor

Makenzie Patton is a singer, performer, songwriter, and music educator with a lifelong love of sharing the joy of music with others. A former student of Hannah Jackson at Songbird Music Studio, Makenzie has come full circle and now has the privilege of inspiring the next generation of musicians in the very place where her own musical journey was nurtured. She gained national recognition as a member of The Cactus Cuties, performing on some of the United States' most notable stages and entertaining audiences across the nation. Today, she continues to perform locally and throughout the region with her band, Roll On Red, while also writing and recording new music for her upcoming album.

As an instructor, Makenzie is known for her fun, energetic, and engaging teaching style. She believes students learn best when lessons are interactive, encouraging, and tailored to their individual personalities and interests. By blending solid musical foundations with creativity, humor, and plenty of encouragement, she creates an environment where students feel comfortable taking risks, building confidence, and discovering what makes music exciting to them. Makenzie's goal is for every student to leave her classroom not only with new skills, but with a genuine love for music and a sense of pride in what they can accomplish.

Jake Jackson

Voice/Piano Instructor

Jake Jackson brings a unique blend of talent, performance experience, and genuine kindness to Songbird Music Studio. An accomplished vocalist, pianist, songwriter, and educator, Jake has spent years captivating audiences both on and off the stage. As a State Recognized Tenor, he has developed a strong foundation in vocal performance and musicianship, while his passion for songwriting and piano continues to shape his creative voice.

Jake's extensive performance background includes working at Walt Disney World in Orlando as a "Friend of Pluto," where he created magical experiences for families from around the world. Combined with his time as Frenship High School's beloved mascot, these experiences have given him an incredible ability to connect with children through enthusiasm, humor, and encouragement. His playful spirit and natural warmth help students feel comfortable, confident, and excited to learn.

Committed to growing both as an artist and educator, Jake is continuing his music education through Berklee College of Music, where he is pursuing a degree in Songwriting/Music Production. Whether he's teaching a beginner their first notes, helping students develop their performance skills, or cheering them on through challenges, Jake brings patience, creativity, and authenticity to every lesson. Above all, he is the kind of teacher, and friend, who makes people feel valued, supported, and capable of more than they imagined.
